Buckle Restoration Order

Our artisans polish your solid sterling silver or solid gold buckles using
professional high speed polishing wheels and detailing flexible shaft machines to a
mirror finish. We cannot polish silver plate or goldfilled buckles. If sterling,
make sure there is a small sterling symbol somewhere on the buckle. It may say 92,
as sterling is 92% fine silver, the rest is alloy.

We will polish your buckles and remove scratches. If you send us a very old or
highly detailed buckle, we will balance scratch-removal with preservation. Some
very delicate buckles cannot have 100% of scratches removed without removing design
integrity. We can, due to years of experience, assess that potential and let you
know prior to restoration the ballpark results. We do our best to restore your
buckle, but cannot be held liable if it comes out differently than you anticipation.

The costs are $35 for basic buckles, $65 for 3 or 4 piece buckle sets.

There is an additional cost for shipping, generally about $12 Fed Ex ground delivery.

Antique Buckle Restoration

So you have one of those wonderful buckles you inherited from you Grandmother and
Grandfather and it is precious. It is so antique that it has begun to deteriote
with the weight of beyond old age. Did you say circa 1860? Or was it one of those
great collectibles from the 1930s Art Deco Period? Well your savior has arrived;
we can restore it to its full beauty. I remember that wonderful heirloom I saw in
my grandmother's promise chest as a 4 year old with bold eyes. I will eagerly give
your buckle the beloved care given to my Grandmother's shoe buckle converted to belt
buckle. . .

Now how much? Prices vary from $25 for a simple brass prong repair or replacement
to $500 for total restoration of handcutting of two double sterling stays for strap
adjustment. Custom wire forming of a single prong in sterling would be about $50.
Yes, we only use silver solder on sterling items and brass is only brazed. If it
is made of sterling silver or solid brass we can repair it. Estimates can be given
with emailed attachment scans of front and back of buckle. Exact pricing is given
when we have the actual buckle in hand. The heads of our company will meet and
assess the exact needs of your precious possession and an email and/or phone call
will follow.
